For the past two years I have promoted the platform of Literacy, however, an incident this summer after Miss Ohio made me realize that my real calling is help save and improve the lives of animals in need. I am now making it my mission to help animals that are homeless, have been neglected, abused, and exposed to a life deprived of love. I will soon be a registered volunteer at the Cincinnati SPCA and am also planning a fundraiser that will happen in December which is benefit the Cincinnati SPCA and other rescue shelters. I'm extremely excited to have finally found what I am most passionate about and can devote 110% to something that I could not believe in more. I'm eager to embark on this new journey and to touch the lives of both animals and people.
Over the years Mercer County has euthanized 70% of the animals turned into shelters and pounds. Now with the help of volunteers, foster homes, and adoptions, this percentage has dropped to 3%!!!!!!! I was thrilled when I discovered this and could not be happy. Let's help to get this down to 0% euthanization!!!!!
